Designing and building a custom home

For most people, it’s only a dream. For Whitman Homes, it’s a way of life. But before we begin to put pencil to paper or pour a foundation, we do something very important. We listen. We want to hear how you will use the living spaces in your new home, both daily and on special occasions. We want to know what you like about your present home and what you want in your new home. Your home reflects your attitudes and your aspirations. It should be a haven of comfort and relaxation as well as a place to eat and sleep. A place where dreams turn into reality and where memories are made that will last a lifetime.

We will design the home of your dreams

We at Whitman Homes understand the psychology of designing and building your home as much as we do the construction principles of energy efficiency. Our in-house architectural team can design your home, using either free-hand sketches or our state-of-the-art computer-aided design (CAD) system. If you prefer, you may develop your design from one of our many exciting designs that have already been built.

You are involved throughout the process

While your home is under construction, we encourage you to visit with one of Whitman Homes’ representatives so you can see the quality materials and special care that our craftsmen build into every Whitman home.
